Healing Haiku Film Class

Watch this short video. Try to explore the symbolism and what the film is expressing.
This haiku film is much longer and more entailed than the one I will be instructing you to create, but I wanted you to get a feel for how powerful symbolism can be and how I want you to get out of your comfort zone. Your haiku film will be between 15-30 seconds.
On our first session, I will explain the symbolism as a starting point to supporting you to get creative.

A Creative Retreat for Your Inner-Child

As we straddle Mother's Day and Father's Day, we sit between two powerful symbols. Your parents might have been nurturing and kind and you worry about them, miss them or you had a traumatic experience because of them and you have sorrow for the child within you that was not protected or loved as they should have been.

This course will tap into your creative spirit and help you to express yourself in a way that traditional dialogue fails to touch.

Module 1: Haiku

Learning haiku for the purpose of healing is powerful. You don't have to be a poet, the focus is not on if your poetry is worthy of a competition or stage; it is about healing.

Module 2: film

Create visuals that tell a story of your trauma and recovery (even if you feel you are far from healed). This will be unique and personal. Your film may be as short as 15 seconds or as long as a few minutes.

Module 3: Deep Dive

Blending haiku and film for an artistic view of where you've been and where you are going.

Module 4: presentation and close

Show your work (optional) confidentiality (send to it me and I'll share it) and we will also discuss the healing process of this activity.
